Two products will initially be available in Austria from the end of January, "planted. chicken Natur" and "planted. chicken Kräuter & Zitrone". Outside of Spar, the start-up's products can also be found in its own online store. The founders are already very satisfied with their market entry in Germany and Switzerland: "Our success in Switzerland and Germany shows that we are right on trend with our products. The consumption of meat substitute products has experienced an enormous upswing in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic," says Pascal Bieri. As Austria is also currently still in lockdown, the new products could therefore also experience a similar development in this country.
